ORIGINALS - "An original series of artworks celebrating some of Australia's most STUNNING specimens, flora and fauna. I have a deep connection with MOTHER NATURE, beginning right back to when I was a little girl, studying her with my late grandpa, when we went out bush together! In particular DESERT WILDFLOWERS, from my tour guiding days in the Western Australian desert, are the most fascinating. They have the tiniest leaves and flower heads. This helps reduce water evaporation during dry periods and enables the flower to put all of it's energy into producing a flower head and seed, in order to self sow and live on as a species! Skye Prudence is a Melbourne born artist, living in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. She reflects the delicate balance between flora and fauna through her artworks. Showing great restraint, she draws inspiration from Mother Nature in her entirety, creating intricate amalgamations of watercolour and black ink, the voice of her creations. 

All of Skye Prudence's original artworks are thoughtfully hand drawn illustrations and paintings, with love and intent. The artworks are created on 100% textured cotton rag, 310gsm museum grade archival watercolour paper, with the elimination of optical brighteners. Original artworks have not been reproduced.
