Nestled on the sacred Bunurong Land, the Melaleuca Wildlife Shelter stands as a sanctuary for native wildlife, passionately operated by Cornelia and her dedicated team of volunteers. This haven rescues, rehabilitates, and releases an array of native species, from bats and possums to birds and reptiles. Entirely self-funded and volunteer-driven, Melaleuca Wildlife Shelter relies on the generosity of the community. Contributions in the form of wishlist items, monetary donations, and volunteer assistance is how the shelter can keep operating, ensuring the continued care and protection of Australia’s precious wildlife.

Here is how Skye and every sale from you contributes to Melaleuca Wildlife Sanctuary:

• $1 from every sale is donated to Melaleuca Wildlife, so the shelter can purchase items for the direct needs of any native animal that becomes injured or displaced
• All the leftover paperbark from Skye's paperbark artworks is collected and donated directly to the shelter, this is used as browse for the animals to enable them to forage and live in an environment that is close to their native home as possible
• Skye donates unused blankets, sheets and medical supplies to the shelter to help with the a variety of different needs of the animals
